intelligent Conference
Bureau services usually impose a fixed set-up charge per conference call and/or premium per minute charges (typically 10p to 20p per minute) for each party connected over an external line.
TeleWare iC allows conferencing between parties without incurring either set-up charges per conference or additional call charges, potentially offering significant overall savings. Where a member of the conference is calling over their company’s wide area network there is no cost associated with that call.
TeleWare iC is the simple solution for making conference calls because there is no need for any outside organisation to facilitate it.
Making a Conference Call
The initiator (the chairperson) books the conference over the telephone through an automated voice response service or on-line via a web browser. The booking is allocated a unique ID number, which the chairperson gives to the other participants, and a chairperson’s ID which is used to commence the conference session. Pre-booked conferences can be cancelled or details, such as time and date, changed at any time prior to the start of the conference. The chairperson must be a TeleWare iN or iA user.
As each person joins a conference by dialling the service number and entering the conference ID, they are automatically announced. Similarly, when someone leaves the conference. their name is announced
The intelligent Conference application also supports unplanned, ad hoc conferences.
Recording a Conference Call
TeleWare iC has an optional facility to record an entire conference call or selected portions of the call, under the chairperson’s control. Recordings can be archived and retrieved using the conference ID.
On-screen Access
The optional browser interface into TeleWare iC provides an intuitive visual interface and the ability for conference calls to be booked on behalf of a third party. Details of pre-booked conferences can be automatically sent to participants by email.
